Lots of Spanish Mackerel caught on spoons and yozuri red and white floating lures. Even one pretty large Cero. The largest Mack we caught was inside though and on the outside and north side of the bar just outside Jug Creek. Some trout, most weren't keepers though however we did catch a few that actually had shoulders. One actually came in at 28 inches. One nice Cobia was sighted but we couldn't even catch the interest of this shadow of the sea. He swam lazily by and acted as if he never even noticed. Additionally we caught a wealth of ladyfish in the same area but a little closer into the bar. Some of these actually had some size and provided alot of action on our light rods.
Bait wasn't plentiful but what we caught were actually nice size. Most was three to four inch scaled sardines or shiners. Glad we had it too. On the way in we stopped in a creek close to the Indian Fields around a deep shore line riddled with oysters and picked up a few nice keeper Mangroves in the 12 to 14 inch range. All in all a good day on the water and we couldn't of asked for better weather.
Until next time may you have fair winds and following seas. Drop me a line or give me a shout anytime.

Capt Chris

Decembers Grouper Bite

http://www.pineislandfloridafishingcharters.com/2/post/2009/12/decembers-grouper-bite.html

http://www.pineislandfloridafishingcharters.com/2/post/2009/12/decembers-grouper-bite.html#comments

Uncategorized

Hello! Just the thing to get the kids hooked too.
Predominantly been catching gags in the near shore ledges n the keeper to 28-30. Not huge but fun and good eating. The weather hasn't been exactly cooperative month but the nice days have been beautiful and we have seen some flat days that were conducive to an offshore run in small craft. Remember call me about the holiday gift certificate speacials. Good fishing and God bless.
